Walk 2000kms without chaffing?

'The 2000 walk' begins

That’s the question three of my mates are probably gonna be asking very soon… man there is nothing worse then chaffing! Andrew Carnell, his cousin Dave Carnell and Andrew Sav have just begun walking from Cairns to Stanthorpe – 2000 kilometres (1250 miles) for ‘The 2000 walk’.

They are walking one kilometre to represents 2000 distinct living language that doesn’t yet have the Word of God. Nothing – not even a single verse.  So that equates to about 350 million people who will be without God’s Word until we respond.  The job of spreading the Good News is far from being finished.

Hard for us to comprehend hey?  Most of us have access to more then a couple of DIFFERENT translations… have access to a few different versions on our computers or iPhones… and find it hard to even BOTHER to read!

The guys started in Cairns this morning and were joined by students from Freshwater Christian School for the first kilometre.  I bet that k went quicker then the rest will!

The guys are going to be walking for close to 80 days… personally I can’t imagine walking a single day of 30kms!  So they’re gonna need our support and encouragement.  Please check out their blog here – the2000walk.com and do the survey.  Also find the guys on twitter and facebook!
