FIRE!!!

Last night I had a really restless night of sleep. I don’t dream much or if I do I don’t remember them seconds later. Last night, however, I had a really vivid dream. I was with my family back in Australia. We were at our old farm house and I think everyone was pretty much there just having a good time. Someone noticed outside an absolutely HUGE fire coming across the paddock and came racing in to tell everyone that we needed to evacuate and get out. Everyone slowly responded. I looked out and saw it really was coming and also started trying to get everyone to move quicker. It was like we all were in a daze and were oblivious to the beckoning danger around us. I remember hearing things like, ‘Ok will be there in a sec – just grabbing my handbag’. Like we were going out for a Sunday afternoon drive! With that I was awoken with a fright!

As I said earlier, I don’t remember dreams so when this one played back over my mind when I was awake I wondered if there was more too it then ‘just a dream’. I felt prompted to pray against the apathy of my family… of our families… or our nations! We’re all so guilty of going through life, self absorbed and unaware of what is really going on around us.
