Hot Cross Buns iced with some Resurrection thoughts

Today it’s Easter. Enjoyed one of my homemade Hot Cross Bun’s for brekky before heading to church in Gallatin, Tennesse with Alabaster Box to minister in a local church there.
Had an interesting thought reflecting on when Mary arrived at the tomb and
realised the body was not there. Jesus’ body was GONE! He had risen – just like he said he would. Until this point Jesus was only known in flesh and blood as we know people. He was followed because he showed people the way, the truth and the life. He
performed miracles… Turned water into wine… Feed 5000+ people with
just 3 loaves and 2 fishes… He rose people from the dead… Made the
blind see… Forgave the prostitutes and tax cheats. His life and
existence on earth created a buzz worth following. If he was on
twitter he’d definitely be followed by more people then Obama! People wanted to know him and travelled for miles to see him or to bring the sick to him. This one mans life ultimately made a impact on the people of His time that impacted HISTORY! His story and life is still the most told and followed.

So as Mary noticed – his Body was gone… But he left his Spirit here to dwell and live in his followers! So in essence his Resurrection meant his body could
be found all over the earth in the presence of his followers so more
people could KNOW him! Jesus didn’t just come to earth to be King for those on Earth when he physically came. He came for us all… for all of HISTORY!

Do you know HIS STORY this Easter?
